JSC “CDBMB” (a part of Rosatom machine building division - Atomenergomash) has signed an agreement for the manufacturing the equipment of municipal waste treatment plants. High pressure feed water pump sets will be used at enterprises in the Moscow Region.
Four SMW into energy plants are being built under the international project “Energy from Waste”, in which the Japanese-Swiss consortium Hitachi Zosen Inova (HZI) and Rosatom machine-building division Atomenergomash participate. The main goal is to implement the complete processing chain, including a modern flue gas disposal and cleaning systems.

“The key difference between the plants of this project from classical waste burning plants is that waste is used as a fuel to generate electricity. Burning under certain conditions not only destroys harmful combustion products, but also provides a sufficient amount of heat to heat the coolant and generate electricity. Atomenergomash division is a supplier of boiler equipment, and CDBMB is a manufacturer of pressure feed water pump sets for supplying the feed water from the deaerator to power boilers in “Energy from waste” project. The contract provides the supply of twenty pump sets - five for each plant under construction”, - JSC “CDBMB” General Director Igor Burtsev noted.

CDBMB (founded in 1945) is one of the leading companies of the State Corporation Rosatom. CDBMB has a multidisciplinary design team, its own research, experimental and production facilities. CDBMB is a developer and manufacturer of reactor coolant pumps for VVER reactors. In addition, the company designs and manufactures canned, cantilever, feed, emergency pumps for nuclear power plants and a wide range of remotely controlled equipment for handling the radioactive materials. CDBMB offers process solutions in the field of thermal power, gas and petrochemicals (LNG technologies), shipbuilding and equipment for waste processing plants as well.
