JSC "Central Design Bureau of Machine Building" (belongs to the Engineering Division of Rosatom – JSC Atomenergomash) has concluded another major contract for the supply of pumping equipment for Tianwan NPP. Eight reactor coolant pumps “GTsNA-1391” are planned to be manufactured and delivered to the customer by 2025.
“This contract is strategically important for CDBMB, since Tianwan NPP is one of our main partners, one of the largest customers. We’ve been cooperating for twenty years. Reactor coolant pumps, manufactured by CDBMB, are already in operation at four power units of the TNPP, components and auxiliary equipment are regularly supplied to the plant. The two new units of Tianwan NPP with water-cooled power reactors “VVER-1200” will be equipped with reactor coolant pumps “GTsNA-1391” which are currently used at many foreign nuclear power plants”, - Sergey Nikiforov, JSC “CDBMB” commercial director, stated.
Designing, manufacturing and maintenance of pumping equipment for the nuclear industry is CDBMB’s main specialization. JSC “CDBMB” is Russia’s exclusive designer and manufacturer of reactor coolant pumps for water-cooled power reactors (VVER type). The newest development of design bureau is a reactor coolant pump unit without oil system (GTsNA-1753), in which all subassemblies are lubricated and cooled with water (including the electric motor parts). As there is no oil system, the fire safety of nuclear power plants will be significantly improved. This engineering solution is unrivaled throughout the world.
CDBMB has the only complex in Russia for conducting full-scale tests of pump equipment under conditions, simulating the operation of the reactor in all parameters (pressure, temperature, coolant type). All company’s products supplied to NPPs are tested in various modes, which allows to identify possible deviations from the operating parameters and troubleshooting.
