At CDBMB 2 production site (Sosnovy Bor, Leningrad Region) a cascade of dry cooling towers for the test rigs of pumping equipment has been put into operation.The construction was completed in summer 2020 and after the tests it was put into operation. New type "dry" cooling towers allows the company to operate independently from the pumping station of a third-party contractor who had supplied the water to the cooling systems of the test rigs at a charge. It significally decreases the risks of test failures and uplanned stops. The closed system of the cooling towers and test rigs do not discharge the water which exclude the expenses for water removal.During CDBMB 2 branch (since 1968) operation, the design of dozens of types of pumps for stationary, transport and research reactor plants has been tested on the test rigs.
